Block A Complete.

Since I had the day off on Monday, I spent the day working on putting the new quilt pattern together.  Started with cutting out 6" squares, 2 1/2" x 6", and 2 1/2" x 8" strips 26 of each of them.

Placing the 2-1/2" x 6" strip right side down on one of the sides of the 6" block and sew a 1/4" seam, then press open.

Place the 2-1/2" x 8" strip right side down on either the right or left side of the combined
2-1/2" x 6" and 6" block that you just sewn together. Then sew a 1/4" seam on that side and press open.

Block A is now complete.  Something to remember with printed fabric you want to make sure you think about how you sew the strips on so that the print is not upside down or pointing the wrong direction.  With this block for the quilt, sew the strips on different side of the 6" square.

So far the blocks are looking really good, So tune in for Block B.
