Since the longarm was empty, I quickly loaded some muslin practice fabric and I was off. I was looking through a Freehand book, and decided to practice my basic meandering.
The book I was talking about I got from the Gadget Girls website, called "Pocket Guide to Freehanding", by Darlene Epp ~ Meandering, from Trillium House Designs.
At first, I had big loops and sometimes I would get a point. The first row was just to get the hang of working in the front of the machine plus getting into a flow.
The next row, was a little better, remembering that you have to keep even spacing and rounded nodes. The flow got better, I got the meandering down to a medium size. I think I'm getting the hang of it, just need more practice.
I think I will relax for the rest of the evening and work on the Jelly Roll binding and attach the label.
