Feather Play!

Over the last week, I have been working on making feathers, and was having no luck until today.  I watched a video on it and it finally just clicked. So I practice a few by drawing them and I started to figure it out.  So, I moved to practicing on Millie and the first couple were not very good. I was over lapping and the feathers were just not looking right.

So I stopped and looked at my drawings again, then on my next tempt they started getting better.  I Started with a smaller feather first.

Then I started making a few that were just a little larger.  I was getting better but, still over lapping a few.  

Now that I'm starting  to figure out feathers, it is fun to play with them.

I have also been playing with templates and practicing for my pink tulip quilt that needs to be finished.  Boy was that fun and I liked making this block.

Also love playing with loops.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of the free motioning on the machine.  Just need keep practicing.  Tomorrow is going to be a more practicing and learning, going to get my free class with Myna Ficken.  I'm so excited!
