Today, I’m excited to share one of my latest quilt patterns featuring the new Deb Tucker Studio 180 Design Wine Country fabric collection by Island Batik for Lumin Fabrics.
This new collection features a beautiful assortment of purples,
greens, and neutrals that you don't often see together. When I first saw this
collection, I fell in love and knew I had to create an elegant quilt pattern to
showcase it.
While reviewing this fabric collection, I decided to create
a quilt using the Wedge Star tools. I wondered which Wedge Star techniques I
could combine to achieve an elegant design. Fortunately, Studio 180 Design
answered that question when it introduced the Compound Wedge technique.
The Compound Wedge is a stunning method for nestling a Wedge Star inside another Wedge Star using the
Shaded Four Patch technique, adapted for 45° angles. This five-star technique
is enjoyable to learn and can be quite addictive once you get started. While it
may be challenging at first, making these stars is a lot of fun!
Allow me to introduce my latest pattern, "Anna’s
Vineyard," which features the Compound Wedge and a selection of natural
greens and purples from the Wine Country Collection. This quilt measures 72” x
72” finished and is made primarily of a single Compound Wedge Block, but the
design varies with seven color changes, creating a flowing, swirling pathway through the
vineyard.
This pattern is now available and includes colored illustrations for both right- and left-handed quilters, along with charts to help you stay organized while creating the quilt top.
The Wine Country Fabric Collection will be arriving at your local quilt shops very soon. Be sure to ask if they will be carrying this gorgeous collection. Below are a few shops that will be carrying the Wine Country Collection along with the Anna's Vineyard patterns.
If you are a shop and wish to order the Anna's Vineyard quilt pattern, please visit my wholepage for more information.
I will also be teaching Anna's Vineyard at a special Quiltapolooza workshop for Amy's Quilt Room; there are just a few seats left. Check out Amy's Quilt Room website for more information and to register.
I hope you enjoyed this special blog post on my newest pattern, Anna's Vineyard.
