Island Batiks Ambassabors: Christmas in July

July is here and we have only 166 days until Christmas.  I know its summer, the weather is beautiful outside and no one wants to start thinking about making Christmas quilts.

However, time marches on and before you know it the weather will start to change which means Christmas is really not that far away. So this month Island Batiks Ambassador challenge “Christmas in July”, will get you started thinking about those cooler temperatures and projects. We are to create a project using the “Holiday Happenings”, Fat Quarter Bundle.

It took me a little while to get in the Christmas Spirit and think of something new to make.  I finally designed this fast and easy quilt.

“Peppermint Swirl”, uses 4 fat quarters from the “Holiday Happenings” Fat Quarter Bundle and finishes at 26” x 26” to make a nice table topper or wall hanging.
