The cover image above highlights one of the newest fabric lines from the Island Batik Fall/Winter 2018 Collections "Snow Berry." The fabric consists of various purples and greys, with deer prints in the beautiful fabrics.
This fantastic block that makes up of the quilt, consists of the following units and was designed to use the Studio 180 Design tools, Half Square Triangles (Tucker Trimmer® 1), Non-Mirrored Combination Units (Tucker Trimmer® 1 and Non-Mirror Combo Technique Sheet), Flying Geese (Wing Clipper® 1) and Diamond Rectangles (Diamond Rects® tool).
The cool thing about the Diamond Rect® tool, and many of the other Studio 180 Design Tools, they come with all the cutting templates you will need to make precision cuts for the center diamond, and side triangles to create an oversized unit.
Once you have all the diamond units stitched together, you will use your tool again to trim down to the perfect size.
All the Non-Mirrored Combination units are sewn into pinwheels.
Once all the units are Stitch together into rows, it then time to sew them all together.
The block looks like this when complete. Once you have all your blocks made, the magic comes with sewing them all together.
