Three Witches Brew - Halloween Haunt Blog Hop

Today is the second day of the Halloween Haunts Blog Hop and also my day to show you  two exciting Halloween patterns I developed this year.
For my latest pattern, I had a a lot fun and inspiration in it's development. This pattern is now available on my website as an e-pattern only. The paper version will start shipping October 29. The inspiration comes from my two best friends, we are always up to something mischievous when we see each other, so I came up with this cute pattern called “Three Witches Brew” to celebrate our get together.

“Three Witches Brew” is my first fully designed applique using EQ7.  Normally, in the designing we start with pencil and paper then scan and trace in Adobe Illustrator.
“Three Witches Brew”, is an easy raw edge applique pattern.  This pattern doesn’t rely  on Halloween fabrics, but it would look really cute them.  I designed the pattern to use mostly Moda basics, but you can really use anything you have in the scrap bin. The project finishes at 35” x 35”.
“Haunted Manor”, is the next pattern I would like to show you.  This design was first created a couple years ago as a machine embroidery project.  I didn’t like how it was turning out, so I put it away until this year.  Finally with some several different try’s, I came up with this project.
The pattern is an easy quilt that can be a great way to use up your leftover Halloween scraps.  It is also a great weekend project that finishes at 35” x 29” and a great way to liven up the holiday.

  53. Love the Three Witches Brew, especially because it's not too overly complicated, as national holidays have usually come & gone by the time I finish things as I usually take on too much & make it as complicated as possible for myself. Plus the pattern doesn't hinge on having hard to find locally fabrics. xx
