Practicing Custom work!

Yesterday and today have been busy with errands and cleaning around the house.  Looking forward to being done working during the week so I can keep the house up during the week.

When I got my chores done, I decided to practice on the longarm for the rest of the day.  So I prepared the backing for the wine bottle wall hanging, and put it on the longarm.

For this quilt I'm doing a little free-motion work on it.  I  decided to outline the main elements of the blocks by just stitching around them and doing some stitch in the ditch.

I needed a border for this so my husband made me a panto for the borders.  The panto is with grape vine leaves and wine bottles.

This is great piece to practice on working in the front of the machine doing free motion work, since I'm just getting started on this project.
