My First Quilts

My First Quilt- Sampler

This sampler quilt is what started me in the world of quilting.  I attend classes at the local Northwest Fabrics in Great Falls, Montana.
Sewn on on my New Home Sewing machine and hand Quilted.

Radiant Star

I made this quilt in another class in Great Falls, Montana and also hand quilted it.  This quilt was donated to our church to raise money for the building fund.

Sue Bonnet Sue

This quilt was made for close friends of ours, before they were shipped to Japan.  Each block of Sue Bonnet and Sam's represents the families' birthday months.  I hand appliqued and quilted this quilt.

Tulip Bed - Wall Hanging

This quilt was made in a class while we were in Great Falls, Montana.  The borders are tied and center part is hand quilted.
This quilt  has traveled the world with us and has been displayed in each of our homes and currently hangs in our livingroom.

Bear Paw

I made this from flannel material for my oldest son, it was started back in Great Falls, in the 1990, I would take it out once in a while to quilt it, but I finally finished the hand quilting this year.  Blue and Red Flannel material.

Tiger Wall Hanging

I designed this quilt from a panel, surrounded the tigers with strips and corresponding foliage fabric for a friend of mine.  This was done on my new Janome 7700 machine.  My first machine quilted project.

Off to College

This is a combination of the Cross with a Cross and the Clay's Choice blocks.  Made in Blues, Whites and Grey Fabrics and Machine Quilted.  The name of quilt, came about due to this quilt went to great kid and a good friend to my youngest son. It was made his first year in college.

Coquette Tulip

This is my first consignment quilt,  I designed this and chose the fabric colors based on the wish of warm colors.  The block is variation of the Weatherpane block, set on point.  The quilting was done on my Janome 7700 machine and the pattern came from various parts of the borders and backing.
